You Shall Know the Truth

And the Truth (That You Know) Will Make You Free

There are facts and opinions. The dictionary gives these definitions.


  1. something that actually exists; reality; truth: Your fears have no basis in fact.
  2. something known to exist or to have happened: Space travel is now a fact.
  3. a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true: Scientists gather facts about plant growth.


  1. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
  2. a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
  3. the formal expression of a professional judgment: to ask for a second medical opinion.


noun, plural truths
  1. the true or actual state of a matter: He tried to find out the truth.
  2. conformity with fact or reality; verity: the truth of a statement.
  3. a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like: mathematical truths.

What is the Truth?

I spent some time establishing the credentials of the Master so that you would be prepared for the truth. Pilate asked Him, "What is truth?" His disciples asked HIm "How can we know the way?" Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Read it for yourself here

Some people came to Jesus and wanted to know what to do to please God. His reply was this:

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

The key phrase is to believe. More on that later.
