Press Release from 2015

Prattville Progress January 31, 2020.

Staff Interview with local businessman and philanthropist, Richard Barton, by Max Barton.

Max Barton met with Rick Barton at the latter’s home in Prattville. It is not the typical home of a millionaire. It is a modest two-story home roughly 3000 square feet. They met in their family room which consists of a fireplace, large-screen TV, three recliners, a couch, three dog crates and thousands of books and videos.

Max: Mr. Barton, tell our readers how you feel today, after just returning from a LifeVantage conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Richard: Well, Max, a little tired but definitely excited about the future. Everywhere I go, I find people who just want a little more out of life and are looking for answers. Because of my success, they are willing to listen to me when I tell them they can have anything they want as long as it doesn’t take someone else’s good.

Max: Wait.  what do you mean by that?

Richard: Well, Max, God did not put His man in a desert, He put him in a garden. God is not bankrupt and stingy, but wealthy beyond anyone’s dreams and very generous. His desire is that we all participate in His kingdom and recognize that we are all connected.  When one of us hurts, we all hurt. When one of us is blessed, we’re all blessed.

Max: You mean, “God loves you. Relax. Be happy”? What about “God’s gonna get you sinners?”

Richard: well, Max, if God was going to get the sinners, we would all already be got. God handled the sin problem nearly 2000 years ago when his son Jesus Christ went to the cross, was buried, and resurrected. The last thing that Jesus said in his physical body was “it is finished”. From that point on, sin was never the issue anymore. Let me show you what it says in John chapter 3 verses 16 through 18:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

See, everybody was condemned because nobody was right. When someone realizes that Jesus actually did die on the cross for them, and receives that as a free gift, it destroys the sin issue. That person is now free to be who they intend to be. It is been that way for a long, long time. No, the real problem is what people think in their subconscious mind. The subconscious mind controls everything that we do.

Max: What does that have to do with your business success?

Richard: Everything. What I’ve been able to do is free people from the limitations of their mind, and help them to achieve their dreams. By doing that, I’ve not only been blessed spiritually, but also financially.
