Today is traditional Easter Sunday. Next Sunday is Orthodox Easter.
Both occasions celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What does that mean to you? What does that mean to me?
For me it means that my previous sins, which were many, have been removed and forgiven. In fact, it isn’t even right to call them my sins anymore. Jesus took my sins upon Himself. He became sin for me and He removed those sins from me as far as the East is from the West. He has even enabled me to forgive myself.
Now, He continually works in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Christ in me is the hope of glory. He is my Elder Brother and His Father is my Father in Heaven. Because of Him, I live in Divine favor. Not because of who I am or what I’ve done, but because of Whose I am and what He has done.
That means I am now free to be the best me that I can be. I am not shackled by past failures. My future is full of hope.
If you have accepted His precious gift, that also means that you are free to be the best you that you can be.
I wish that for you with all my heart.
Go forth with joy and peace. Live long and prosper.
